Since 2005, Karen Connors has worked in education in a number of roles, including teaching K-12 and college-level courses, conducting research, managing residence halls, and administering academic programs. Before joining the School of Data Science, Connors has led end-to-end program strategy and operations — launching a hybrid M.S. program, scaling digital microlearning from 4 to 15+ offerings, and aligning cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, student-centered experiences. She is a leader with a proven record of building high-performing teams, launching and scaling academic and digital learning programs, and translating institutional strategy into seamless, impactful student experiences.
Conners is originally from Boston and has also lived in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Miami. Now residing in the mountains outside of Charlottesville, she enjoys the change of scenery and is adjusting to country living. She also dedicates time to coaching youth sports.
Connors holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education from the University of Virginia, an M.Ed. from the University of Miami, and a B.S. in Education from the Pennsylvania State University.
